Our next guest is actor, writer and director Alice Lowe.

Alice is known for her many film and TV roles which include Black Mirror, Kill List, Sightseers, Hot Fuzz and much more.

Alice also wrote, directed and starred in the 2016 comedy slasher film 'Prevenge', about a pregnant widow who is convinced her foetus is compelling her to embark on a killing spree as revenge for the death of her husband. Incredibly, Alice made and starred in this film during her pregnancy! Her newborn baby was also able to portray the main character's baby in the film at just 10 days old.

"I often listen to music when I'm writing. There'll be particular songs that inspire a mood or a scene, and I'll listen to those over and over. I would call this 'shamelessly shimmering romance', because that's what i'm writing at the moment. I listen to a lot of sound tracks. At the moment I'm enjoying a mix of melancholic synth and dark folk, with a bit of arch harpsichord thrown in.Actually I'm finding it hard to find time to write while looking after a 4 year old and a 5 month old. But when I get round to it whatever I write will possibly be an explosion of various repressed substances. The pandemic's got me thinking a lot about Time. Not much new content being generated in my life now, other than nappies. So you end up raking over past memories. I've had a lot of nostalgic wistful dreams. I think I'd term this playlist 'purple'. That misty hazy thing of looking back sadly over memories with delicious sadness. That kind of thing."
