Two New Scores
A few weeks ago we announced that we’re going to almost relaunch our soundtrack / film & tv score output.
Over the last couple of years we felt there had been a bit of an oversaturated market which ultimately ended up in fans of the genre becoming slightly less connected and dare we say a bit disinterested.
Everything is cyclical and as a record label for 20 odd years we only know this too well.
We feel right now there are some really interesting & decent films being made & the scores that accompany them most certainly match the quality of the output.
As previously mentioned we have some film / tv music upcoming that range from small indie arthouse minimal budget productions to huge multiplex blockbuster (hopefully!) hits. The common denominator is we are interested in the music & hope some of you are too.
We’ve started the relaunch this side of summer with the debut score by “Cornish Sound Unit” (Mark Jenkin of Bait / Enys Men + collaborator Dion Star). This is a score to short feature film by Mark Jenkin himself called “I Saw The Face Of God In The Jet Wash” - a film that’s currently doing the festival rounds in Europe. This is well worth seeing if you get the opportunity and are fans of Mark’s previous critically acclaimed work
Secondly, we’ve released the brilliant Jed Kurzel (Alien Covenant / Monkey Man) score to Tornado. Tornado was written & directed by the fantastic John Maclean (Slow West) and is still at cinemas up & down the UK now .
Both scores are available to stream & download now on all the usual platforms -
