This EP features remixes from legendary film score composer Clint Mansell Composer (Moon, Requiem for a Dream, Black Mirror) and also from East India Youth.
JUPITER-C describe their sound as ‘ruptured melodies // dissonant noise’, a description presented brilliantly in their debut EP comprised of heavy drones, saturated guitar melodies and haunting female vocals, heavily influenced by the cinematic and art practice.
With darkly-hued synths and pulsing drum machines, this project is reminiscent of works by Joy Division, The Cure, The KVB and Siouxsie And The Banshees.
"Their are songs centred around potentially nightmarish aspects of modernity: unchecked consumerism and gentrification, technological development, cemented to anxieties about a barren, degenerated future". Read an interview with the band on The Quietus here:
This will be available on coloured 12" vinyl, housed in a spined sleeve with digital download card, and will also be available digitally.
Recorded at Bristol's Invada Studios by in house engineer Stu Matthews.
